Brownie’s made for a Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Chocolate Brownies are a firm favourite and my ones have chunks of white chocolate in them! I make these chocolate treats for occasions where a cake donation is required for the simple reason that they are easy and I don’t have the stress of wondering if my Victoria sponge will rise!
I am certainly out of my comfort zone when it come to baking. However, my Brownies fool the most discerning of bakers and have awarded me many ‘brownie points’ in the past!
The recipe for Chocolate Brownies
188g softened unsalted butter
188g dark chocolate
3 large eggs
7.39 ml vanilla extract
250g caster sugar
113g plain flour
150g White chocolate broken into pieces
Preheat the oven to 180’C
Line the baking tin with paper
Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a saucepan
Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla in a bowl
Measure flour into another bowl and add salt
When chocolate mixture has melted let it cool before beating in the eggs and sugar mixture then add the White chocolate and flour
Beat to combine all ingredients in the saucepan and scrape out into the lined tin
Bake for 25 minutes
